Marie Vandenberghe stands at the helm of Belgium’s dynamic learning-and-development landscape. As Founder & CEO of Quality Training Belgium, she has transformed how organisations equip their people for the modern workplace—from mastering Microsoft tools to embracing artificial intelligence and hybrid working models. With a background that spans multinational training programmes, multilingual delivery and hands-on customised solutions, Marie has made it her mission not just to teach software, but to unlock human potential in a time of rapid change.
In an era where the workforce must constantly upskill and adapt, her leadership is more relevant than ever. Recognised for her commitment to excellence, her company has won industry awards and stands out for its learner-led, human-centred approach. As we highlight the top women leaders shaping the future in 2025, Marie’s story is one of purpose, innovation and impact—showing how one leader’s vision can empower many.
The Passion That Sparked a Purpose
For Marie, the journey to entrepreneurship began with a deep-seated passion for learning and a belief in the power of people. After spending nearly a decade as a trainer and training manager in a multinational company, she felt a calling to build something that reflected her own principles and purpose. In 2008, she founded Quality Training Belgium, a company rooted in the values she holds dearest—humanity, agility, and social responsibility.
Under her leadership, these values became the guiding force behind every initiative. Humanity lies at the heart of the organisation, where genuine listening and empathy drive meaningful learning experiences. Agility ensures that Quality Training continually adapts its methods, tools, and formats to match the evolving realities of modern businesses. Beyond corporate success, Marie’s commitment extends to the community, supporting associations that improve the lives and education of hundreds of children.
For her, training has never been about ticking boxes—it’s about transformation. It’s about unlocking potential, building confidence, and inspiring growth that lasts far beyond the classroom.
“Training only has meaning when it truly transforms people and organisations.”
Leading with Trust and Togetherness
Marie Vandenberghe’s leadership philosophy is grounded in respect, trust, and collaboration—principles that shape every interaction at Quality Training Belgium. She believes that people perform at their best when they feel valued, listened to, and supported. For her, leadership isn’t about control; it’s about creating an environment where trainers are empowered to share their expertise freely and clients feel genuinely cared for.
“I see my role as a facilitator,” Marie explains, “someone who removes barriers so others can shine.” To ensure her philosophy lives through the organisation, she fosters open communication and shared responsibility. Regular feedback sessions, team celebrations, and a strong emphasis on autonomy keep her teams aligned and motivated.
At Quality Training, the core values — respect, quality, and continuous improvement — are not abstract ideals but daily practices. Marie Vandenberghe leads by example: by showing respect, she inspires it; by offering trust, she earns it; and by caring deeply for her people, she cultivates a culture where excellence and empathy naturally coexist.
Empowering People Through Learning Excellence
Founded in 2008, Quality Training Belgium brings together a team of around 40 multilingual professionals who specialise in empowering organisations through tailored learning solutions. With expertise spanning office automation, IT tools, soft skills, social media and hybrid-work environments, the company is uniquely positioned to support modern businesses in Belgium and beyond.
Quality Training offers flexible delivery methods—face-to-face, distance, blended and e-learning—to adapt to each learner’s context and guarantee effective outcomes. Its mission is to serve HR and L&D functions over the long term, helping teams acquire the knowledge critical for evolving technologies, shifting work-modes and individual growth.
Driven by core values of respect, quality, continuous improvement and human-centred learning, Quality Training aims not merely to deliver courses, but to enable meaningful transformation of people and organisations.
From One Trainer to a Team of Many: The Journey of Growth
That decision marked the start of a new era. As Quality Training’s reputation grew, multinational companies began entrusting their training programs to the firm. This trust became the true inflection point, propelling the company to expand its services globally. The recognition that followed — including four consecutive HR Excellence Awards — reinforced their credibility within the HR and learning community.
Today, with a team of 45 dedicated trainers, Marie reflects proudly on the evolution: from one person’s passion to a collective mission that continues to transform people and organisations worldwide.
Transforming Skills into Impact
At Quality Training Belgium, the mission is clear — to empower organisations through practical, innovative, and results-driven training and coaching. Marie Vandenberghe believes that training should never stop at knowledge delivery; it must lead to real-world application and measurable results. “Our goal,” she explains, “is to make learning meaningful — to ensure that what participants learn translates into tangible performance improvements.”
What sets Quality Training apart is its strong focus on personalisation and business relevance. Every program is carefully tailored to reflect the client’s specific needs, goals, and company culture. The trainers — experts in their respective domains — combine deep technical knowledge with an engaging, hands-on methodology that keeps learning dynamic and effective.
The company offers more than 100 specialised programs covering areas such as Excel, Power BI, Microsoft 365, AI, leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, and stress management. Whether it’s mastering digital tools or developing human skills, Quality Training bridges knowledge and impact — helping individuals and organisations adapt, grow, and thrive in a fast-evolving world.
Innovating with Purpose in a Changing World
For Marie Vandenberghe, staying competitive in the fast-evolving learning industry begins with a simple yet powerful belief — innovation must serve people. At Quality Training Belgium, she and her team constantly rethink how learning can be made more practical, relevant, and transformative. “Innovation, for us, isn’t just about new tools or technologies,” Marie explains. “It’s about reimagining how people learn, connect, and apply knowledge in their real work environment.”
The company’s strategy revolves around personalization and measurable impact. Every program is tailor-made to match the client’s goals, culture, and evolving business realities. By blending expert-led sessions with modern learning formats — from digital and hybrid training to interactive workshops — Quality Training ensures engagement and results that last.
Marie also believes that agility is key to long-term relevance. The team continuously monitors trends, integrates feedback, and adapts offerings to emerging needs across cultures and geographies. In her words, “Our mission is to design learning experiences that unite people and create lasting value — wherever they are in the world.”
At Quality Training Belgium, staying relevant in fast-evolving fields is not just a goal — it’s a continuous commitment woven into the company’s DNA. Marie Vandenberghe ensures that innovation is supported by constant learning and proactive evolution. The team keeps its curriculum dynamic through a combination of active market watch, close client collaboration, and continuous upskilling of trainers.
Their experts consistently monitor industry trends, new technologies, and shifting workplace needs, allowing them to update and adapt training content with remarkable speed and precision. This responsiveness ensures that every program — whether focused on office automation, soft skills, artificial intelligence, or visual communication tools — remains both current and impactful.
By integrating direct feedback from learners and organisations, Quality Training creates courses that address real-world challenges, not theoretical ones. This culture of agility and co-creation keeps the company at the forefront of professional learning — ensuring that each session equips participants not just for today’s demands, but for the evolving world of tomorrow.
“Looking back over the 17 years since founding Quality Training, the milestone I am most proud of is the positive impact we’ve been able to have on the lives of hundreds of children and families across many countries. Through a dedicated portion of our budget, we support extraordinary non-profit organizations that do truly impactful work.
These humanitarian initiatives give deep meaning to my work and to the work of our entire team. Knowing that our growth enables us to contribute to a better world is a source of immense pride and motivation for all of us.”
Innovating with Purpose, Growing with Heart
For Marie Vandenberghe, balancing innovation with stability has always been central to the evolution of Quality Training Belgium. In an industry defined by rapid change — from the pandemic’s disruption to the transformative rise of AI — she sees innovation not as a risk, but as a necessity. “The world of learning never stands still,” Marie says. “We must evolve with it, without losing sight of who we are.”
While her team constantly reimagines training approaches, methods, and delivery formats, the company’s core portfolio remains stable — a foundation that ensures trust and continuity. Each year, new themes are added to meet emerging workplace needs, but always guided by client insight. By listening closely to HR leaders and L&D managers, Quality Training ensures that every innovation serves a real purpose, not just novelty. This thoughtful approach sustains both stability and profitability.
Beyond business growth, what fills Marie Vandenberghe with the greatest pride is the company’s humanitarian impact. Over the past 17 years, Quality Training has dedicated a portion of its budget to supporting non-profit organisations that improve the lives of children and families worldwide. For Marie, this blend of purposeful innovation and social responsibility gives true meaning to success — proving that when business grows with heart, it creates change far beyond the classroom.
Evolving with Purpose, Growing with People
When I founded Quality Training Belgium in 2008, our focus was primarily on office and digital skills — tools that helped professionals become more efficient and confident in their daily work. But over the years, and especially after the COVID-19 crisis, I noticed a shift. Our clients began asking for something deeper: support in building human skills — team cohesion, stress management, interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and more.
Listening to these evolving needs, we chose to expand our services in that direction. Each new offering has emerged from meaningful dialogue with HR and Learning & Development leaders, ensuring that our growth always stays relevant and purposeful.
As Marie Vandenberghe often says, “True learning touches both the mind and the heart.” That belief continues to guide every step forward. Today, as Quality Training evolves, its mission remains constant — to help people grow not only as professionals but as individuals, creating workplaces that are more connected, compassionate, and future-ready.
